Restorative Yoga Session: Polyvagal theory describes 3 main states of the autonomic nervous system, resulting in very different responses. For many of us, especially in these challenging times, we can find ourselves in a state of chronic sympathetic dominance which can leave us depleted, anxious, and unwell. There are many ways to foster the Ventral Vagal pathway, one of which being the fabulous practice of restorative yoga. Get your bolsters, blankets, and blocks ready, and if you don’t have these props, you can easily make them. Find a warm and comfortable place to settle in, and relax. Please, take the time to rest, your state transits to others so engaging in these practices is a gift to a very stressed world!
