You’ll need: chair, blanket, block, bolster (or 3 additional blankets). When we increase our ability to feel our own bodies, we increase our ability to feel the world around us.
With practices such as yoga our body maps change, become more detailed, and we have a greater familiarity with the territory, inside and out. In an anatomical sense the practice creates more neural connections in the nervous system. Our more detailed sense of geography inside correlates with belonging in geography of the world in a lot of different territories and orientations. When we feel we belong, we also feel a greater reverence, and we take greater care of the world.
