I am so inspired by the ‘seeds’ our Yoga from the Heart community cultivate and grow (see previous post) that they are informing my class planning this term as we move toward the spring equinox. So many wise teachers from varied traditions have told us that Love is the essence of what and who we are. Why don’t we see that in the world? It is masked, covered, buried within. In yoga the kleshas (from Patanjali 2.3), the malas (from non-dual yoga philosophy) are our forgetting. Our practice is about dis-covering, revealing. Studies have shown that yoga increases oxytocin which is sometimes called the love molecule. When we have more oxytocin we feel more love, we express more love, we live with more love.
